Swimming Technology Research
(STR) was incorporated in Florida in 1987 and
has been on the internet since 1996.
STR is a manufacturing and consulting firm. We provide hardware, software, and
consulting services for analyzing and improving aquatic activities.
One of the
unique aspects of STR
is that our involvement in aquatics spans from theory to application. Our
ongoing research has included some of the most basic theoretical concepts and the
most important applied breakthroughs.
Because of our emphasis on science, you can be sure
that our information is the most accurate. From poolside instruction to Aquanex+Video analysis, all the information is based on physics and research.

Who are your
customers?
STR has served customers from over 40 countries on 6
continents - swimmers, swim teams, coaches, physical therapists,
physicians, rowers, triathletes, camps, associations, national training centers, and equipment companies. One of
our first Aquanex systems was installed in the flume at the
International Center for Aquatic Research (ICAR) at the Olympic
Training Center (OTC) in Colorado Springs.
What services
do you provide?
Every year we provide services to dozens of swim camps,
analyze hundreds of videos, and conduct thousands of Aquanex
trials. We train coaches and instruct swimmers in private,
clinic, and team settings. We provide consulting services to
individuals, teams, and companies - worldwide and year-round.
What products
do you have?
We have a product line that is geared for improving
athlete/patient performance and facilitating the role of the
coach/therapist. Aquanex systems are used for swimming,
rowing, aquatic therapy, and testing aquatic equipment. Torpedo Expert System contains the information to master
competitive swimming skills faster. WorkOutWriter software
lets coaches design swimming workouts faster. MONA is an optimal model for
swimming technique. (And, we have never
charged for a software upgrade!)
