Swimming Technology Research

advanced technology for aquatic therapy

Aquanex Type A sensors are worn on the hand or foot during aquatic exercise.

Aquanex Type B sensors measure forces on the upper legs during running in the water.

Aquanex can monitor forces, analyze performance, and document progress. Data can be used to support the effectiveness of a therapy or exercise program or the need for additional training.

  • Compare patient status to normative data

  • Establish baseline information

  • Quantify bilateral differences

  • Determine pre- vs. postoperative changes

  • Track patient progress during therapy

  • Provide patients with quantitative feedback

  • Document need for continued therapy

  • Demonstrate effectiveness of your program

Examination of an individual's force curves can reveal vital information about peak and sustained effort throughout the range of motion, fatigue, bilateral differences, and anterior-posterior differences (such as the shoulder adduction-abduction shown in the graph below).
