Our Aquanex analysis is guaranteed to show you how to swim faster. Our clinic includes:

  • An optimal model for technique (MONA)
  • “Acceleration strategies” for the fastest progress
  • An Aquanex analysis by the inventor of Aquanex
  • Instruction by a Ph.D. in biomechanics
  • Guaranteed identification of technique changes that will make you faster
  • A limit of 12 participants to ensure maximum individual attention

This one day clinic is directed at swimmers who want to make a big improvement in a short amount of time. The clinic format allows for a comprehensive presentation of optimal technique. The morning session includes classroom and pool instruction and the afternoon session includes a pool review with Aquanex testing and an analysis in the classroom. This clinic will provide swimmers with a great deal of individual feedback and a complete analysis.

This clinic is limited to 12 participants to ensure plenty of individual attention for incomparable progress. During the morning classroom session, Dr. Havriluk will explain the optimal model for freestyle technique using his biomechanical model (MONA). For each key position within the stroke cycle, he will explain visual and kinesthetic cues to help swimmers comply with the model. During the analysis session in the classroom, Dr. Havriluk will reinforce each swimmer’s positive technique elements and explain how to adjust technique to avoid limiting factors. Cues for each adjustment are explained so that the swimmers understand how to focus on optimal technique when they return to their normal training.

The analysis typically includes:

  • critical cues for head, torso, and leg orientation
  • key checkpoints in the arm cycle
  • optimal nonbreathing and breathing head positions
  • strategies for “focused” practice to continue progress after the clinic
  • tips for training and racing

8:30-9:30 am Classroom instruction featuring MONA
9:30-11:30 am Pool instruction with extensive use of deliberate practice strategies
1:30-3:00 pm Aquanex testing (synchronized underwater video and hand force)
3:00-4:30 pm Aquanex analysis in classroom to reinforce positive technique elements and pinpoint limitations with options for making changes
