Description

There are over 50 technique tips in this 15 page document that address very typical technique limitations. Even one limitation can have a substantial impact on performance.
The visual and kinesthetic cues are illustrated by a biomechanical model of optimal technique. They provide the most succinct information to adjust a limitation. Constantly attending to the cues can improve technique and result in a major improvement in performance.
Most of the cues are kinesthetic. Consequently, a swimmer must rely on feeling the orientation of body parts. Mirror or video feedback can help a swimmer control body parts more quickly and more precisely.
There are many other cues. However, the included cues address the most common limitations that have the greatest impact on performance.
